Explosion at defense contractor that makes high-velocity weapons launchers

An explosion at a business on Innovation Drive near George Mason University’s campus in Manassas shook the area late Monday morning.

The Manassas Volunteer Fire Company reported the explosion happened at 9441 Innovation Drive around 11:30 a.m. The address is that of Utron, a defense contractor that makes high-velocity weapon launchers for the military.

Witnesses said there appears to be significant damage to the building, but there were so far no reported injuries.

I’ve found a semiconductor company with that name but my searches for information on the defense contractor making weapons launchers keeps getting derailed by all the results for the Marvel Comics villain that will be played by James Spader in the next Avengers movie.

Update: the explosion at Utron (not Ultron as I previously misread it) was a hydrogen tank explosion. Utron has an interesting list of patents they own.
