Sarah Rumpf blogs about an email she got from Starbucks this morning:
Starbucks is playing a risky game wading into such hotly debated political issues, and by parroting Obama’s talking point that the debt ceiling deadline poses an economic threat to America, they’ve failed in their attempt to be bipartisan.
Rumpf also included a screen capture of the email:
Considering Starbucks has already gotten into activism regarding gay marriage and guns, this shouldn’t be a surprise. I don’t generally go for boycotts over companies of politics, but I generally avoid Starbucks (except when I am there for the wifi) because their coffee is just too damn expensive for what it is.
