RNC Chairman didn’t consult MD GOP before sending anti-Gansler letter

You may have seen this letter to the editor to The Baltimore Sun that RNC Chairman Reince Priebus wrote.

Brian Griffiths of Red Maryland, who calls the letter unfortunate, has more information on this letter:

The letter was submitted without the prior knowledge of State Party Chairman Diana Waterman of Executive Director Joe Cluster.  This question was asked on the biweekly State Party Blogger Conference Call and neither had any advance knowledge of the call.

Griffiths goes on to point out that the Maryland Republican Party had been staying out of commenting on the Gansler situation – something Griffiths agrees with.

Priebus made the following tweet earlier today:

UPDATE: Greg Kline has a different take than Griffiths.
