Brandon Rippeon ran for Congress in the 6th District in 2012 and finished in sixth place in the Republican primary. He had been touted as a candidate for 2014 against David Vogt and Dan Bongino in the primary in the same district. Rippeon, who apparently is a birther, had more cash on hand at the end of the last quarter than David Vogt. His 2014 bid has seemingly come to an end after a post he made on Facebook earlier tonight.
Quinton is a native South Carolinian who has lived in Baltimore since 2006. He is a recent convert to the Catholic Church and is active in the Knights of Columbus. He has been involved in the pro-life movement nationally and locally since 2010.
Quinton is a veteran who served as an intelligence analyst in the Army National Guard. He is also an Eagle Scout.
