GOP candidate drops out of MD Governor’s race

One of the Republican candidates running for governor of Maryland has announced that he is dropping out of the race.

Jay Bala made the following post on Facebook:

Its February 12th, and its a no go for me. Thank you for all your heartfelt-support. God bless.

Is 2014 MD Gov race impossible? Its not. Its easily doable within the margin of error. Unless someone shows me a plan well before the 22 February to push it over, but more importantly the needed volunteers and the money thats required for a clean win—without selling our soul nor selling out the dignity of the people—I will be taking a break from all politics till January 2016.

Like Steve Jobs would say, but there is one more thing… before the 22nd I will post if this “one more thing” has any traction.

Bala seemingly leaves the door open for changing his mind, not that he’d have any impact if he did. He had yet to file or name a running mate.
