I’m hearing that Corey Stottlemyer of Frederick is calling legislators today and telling him that he is announcing tomorrow that he is filing to run for the Maryland State Senate in District 3. He is married to Katie Nash, who is a GOP activist and former candidate for office, and they have two children. Stottlemyer works in public policy in the DC area as an economic associate.
Stottlemyer has worked at the Maryland General Assembly before as a Legislative Assistant, Legislative Analyst, Legislative Director, and Communications Director. He was a regional political director for the Bob Ehrlich campaign in 2006. He also served as campaign manager for Leroy Myers in 2002.
Stottlemyer has a B.A. from Washington College and a Master’s Degree in Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University.
Quinton is a native South Carolinian who has lived in Baltimore since 2006. He is a recent convert to the Catholic Church and is active in the Knights of Columbus. He has been involved in the pro-life movement nationally and locally since 2010.
Quinton is a veteran who served as an intelligence analyst in the Army National Guard. He is also an Eagle Scout.
