David Craig visited the Eastern Shore last Tuesday and made several stops in Wicomico County. His stops included two Salisbury stops – Crazy Louie’s Pawn Shop and Burnett White Tire & Auto (a woman-owned business.) There was a small lunch for locals at Sobo’s in Salisbury and then Craig met with donors at a local law firm.
Craig also met with Mayor Carl Anderton of Delmar and stopped by WMDT (Channel 47) to meet with the station’s news director and general manager. After visiting The Cellar Door Tavern in Salisbury, he then attended the monthly meeting of Allen Volunteer Fire Department in Eden.
Jackie Wellfonder met with Craig while he was in town and wrote about it. Wellfonder noted what Craig posted on Facebook as a caption of a picture with Mayor Anderton:
For me a visit to the Shore isn’t a trip to the Beach. It is a chance to connect with the “forgotten Marylanders”. You will be heard. With Jeannie Haddaway as Lt. Governor you will have one of your own making, shaping, and influencing policy. Your issues will be front and center.
Wellfonder also discussed the Hogan-Craig debate (that was closed to the media and didn’t include other candidates) with Craig.
