Breaking: Bomb explodes near Afghanistan’s Supreme Court in Kabul

The BBC’s report went up just after midnight Eastern Time.

A powerful bomb explosion has rocked the Afghan capital Kabul, sending a plume of smoke over the city and shaking buildings, reports say.

Interior ministry sources said the bomb went off near the Supreme Court building on the airport road.

The United States Embassy is not far away from the site and reports are a siren was sounded there. No word on casualties yet.
