Did FSU’s Jameis Winston punch an opponent?

Today, Jameis Winston has been suspended for the first half of this Saturday’s Florida State-Clemson game after obscene comments he made loudly in a university union building at FSU.

The last game for the Seminoles was the week before last against the Citadel. Winston has been accused of bad behavior in that game:

Late in the first half, with the Seminoles up by 21-0, Winston hands off to FSU running back Karlos Williams. A Citadel player — it’s hard to tell which one on the video — comes up and gives Winston a shove after the handoff.

Winston appears to retaliate with a swing at the 16:55 mark of the video seen here. Another version of the incident is here. No penalty was called on the play.

Here’s the video:

Winston was arrested for shoplifting crab legs at a Publix store in the off-season. He is still being investigated by FSU for a rape allegation against him, even though police finished their investigation with no criminal charges.
